A biochemically important amino acid derivative.

CONT

Creatine is very easily converted to creatinine. Over 90% of the creatine in an adult human is localized in muscle. The concentration is particularly high when a large amount of chemical energy is being converted to mechanical energy. The creatine concentration in the blood and body fluids is normally very low, and reaches higher values only if the kidneys are damaged.
