Dans ce type d'aile, le delta ne se termine pas en pointe, à l'extrémité de l'aile, mais s'arrête à une certaine distance de l'extrémité de celle-ci, ce qui fait que l'extrémité de l'aile est droite, parallèle à l'axe longitudinal de l'avion. Ce type d'arrangement améliore la maniabilité de l'appareil, mais diminue par la même la portance.
