The Canadian Transverse Myelitis Association (CTMA) was incorporated on July 12, 2010 as an organization dedicated to advocate and support those who have these rare neuroimmunologic diseases. February 2011, the CTMA received the approval for its charitable status from the federal government.

The CTMA was created to support and create a networking infrastructure for patients and their families; to provide relevant information about the latest findings in research and treatments; and promote public awareness of the rare neuroimmunologic disorders of the central nervous system.

Turkey Farmers of Canada (TFC) is a national organization representing Canada’s registered turkey farmers. Originally formed under the Federal Farm Products Agencies Act in 1974 as the Canadian Turkey Marketing Agency (CTMA), the organization became known as Turkey Farmers of Canada in March 2009, in order to better reflect the organization’s membership and business activity.TFC’s main objectives are to encourage cooperation throughout the turkey industry and to promote the consumption of turkey in Canada, while at the same time acting as the voice for Canadian turkey farmers both domestically and internationally.

À titre d’organisation nationale, Les Éleveurs de dindon du Canada (ÉDC) représentent les éleveurs de dindon enregistrés du Canada. Créée à l’origine aux termes de la Loi sur les offices des produits agricoles du Canada en 1974 sous la dénomination d’Office canadien de commercialisation du dindon (OCCD), l’organisation est devenue Les Éleveurs de dindon du Canada en mars 2009 afin de mieux refléter sa composition et ses activités commerciales. Les principaux objectifs des ÉDC consistent à encourager la collaboration dans toute l’industrie du dindon et favoriser la consommation de dindon au Canada tout en étant le porte-parole des éleveurs canadiens de dindon tant à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur du pays.
