Lame d'air. C'est un intervalle continu compris entre deux matériaux dont les faces sont sensiblement parallèles. La lame d'air est dite "ventilée" quand elle communique, à sa base et à son sommet, avec l'extérieur par des orifices de surface suffisante, aménagés de manière à interdire l'intrusion de rongeurs et d'insectes.
