Le Département de sciences des aliments et de nutrition a pour mission d'offrir, en concertation avec ses partenaires, des services d'enseignements, de recherche et d'encadrement de qualité dans les domaines relatifs aux aliments et à leurs impacts sur la santé. Plus spécifiquement, ces activités ont pour objectifs de former des professionnelles et professionnels qui sont aptes d'une part à assurer un approvisionnement d'aliments variés, de qualité et sécuritaires, et aptes d'autre part à agir de façon à faciliter une alimentation saine qui permette le maintien en santé, la prévention et le traitement et la prévention des maladies.
