[Les colorants directs] présentent une large gamme de coloris mais résistent mal au mouillé. On distingue les colorants teignant à froid, les colorants teignant à chaud, les colorants teignant à ébullition. La majorité de ces colorants ont une température optimale entre 60 et 80 ºC.
