Distribution managers are responsible for the day-to-day tasks related to shipping large quantities of goods. Companies of all types require the services of a distribution manager, from the food industry to electronics. The work of a distribution manager typically includes monitoring large amounts of inventory for quality and quantity, overseeing warehouses and teams of warehouse workers, and meeting the demands of customers. Distribution managers work closely with warehouse supervisors to ensure that goods are loaded in a manner that is timely, meets quality standards, and facilitates on-time delivery.
