The United Way/Centraide of the Upper Ottawa Valley Inc. (UWUOV) and the Deep River District United Way (DRDUW) announced their merger Jan. 1, 2009. United Way services [were] now being provided under one banner - the United Way/Centraide of the Upper Ottawa Valley Inc. - throughout the entirety of Renfrew County. [Since March 5th, 2010, the organization is known as the Renfrew County United Way.]
