Le cuir chevelu sec est une anomalie caractérisée par un aspect anormalement sec du cuir chevelu qui peut se fendiller et se couvrir de pellicules et entraîner des démangeaisons gênantes. La cause principale est un mauvais fonctionnement des glandes sébacées et une diminution de la sécrétion de sébum. L'usage de produits trop puissants, l'action du soleil ou de l'air vif peuvent entraîner un dessèchement du cuir chevelu.
