L'ouverture pivot : utiliser la bonne main. Effectuer une rotation. Il suffit d'ouvrir sa portière avec la main se situant à l'opposé de la porte (ouverture de la portière gauche avec la main droite, et de la portière droite avec la main gauche). Cette manœuvre, complémentaire à l'observation des rétroviseurs, assure intuitivement que l'angle mort soit systématiquement analysé et offre automatiquement un meilleur champ de vision pour détecter si une personne à vélo se dirige vers le véhicule.
