A permanent electric fence that uses polyester-braided rope with copper wire braided into the cord and that was developed for use in horse ranching and for deer control.

OBS

The vertical high-tensile fence conditions deer to associate electric shocks with attempts to penetrate the fence through nose-to-fence contact with the wires. The high visibility of the ElectroBraid cord reduces accidental contact by deer. Taller designs provide more of a barrier to jumping deer. After being shocked, deer learn to avoid fenced areas.

Clôture électrique fixe constituée par sept à neuf cordes de polyester tressées dans lesquelles est inséré un fil de cuivre, et que l'on a mise au point pour le secteur de l'élevage des chevaux et pour le contrôle des cervidés.

Comme ils reçoivent des décharges électriques lorsqu'ils touchent une corde avec le museau, les animaux apprennent à associer cet effet désagréable à la clôture et tentent moins de la franchir. La corde ElectroBraid étant très visible, les risques que les animaux les touchent de façon accidentelle sont limités. Plus la clôture est haute, moins les cerfs risquent de la franchir en sautant.
