Des affleurements sculptés par la glace comme les roches moutonnées (ainsi nommées d'après leur forme de moutons couchés) sont issues de l'érosion, de l'affouillement et de l'arrachement sour le glacier.

OBS

Très souvent, la roche présente un aspect dissymétrique, le glacier ayant chevauché et poli le côté amont tout en provoquant un phénomène de débitage (délogement de blocs) sur le côté aval par rapport à l'écoulement glaciaire.
