The Emergency Water system (EWS) is environmentally and seismically qualified. It provides cooling water to critical systems when the normal systems (boiler feedwater and LPSW, and/or Class IV and III power) are unavailable. It draws its power from the EPS.

Le réseau d'alimentation d'urgence en eau possède une classification environnementale et une classification parasismique. En cas de non-disponibilité des réseaux normaux, il alimente en eau de refroidissement, les systèmes critiques - eau d'alimentation du générateur de vapeur, eau de service à basse pression, alimentation électrique de catégories IV et III. L'énergie nécessaire à ce réseau provient du réseau d'alimentation électrique d'urgence.
