green purchasing; environmentally preferable purchasing: The term "purchasing" is actually a part of the procurement process. Therefore, it is not always interchangeable with the term "procurement" even though it is often used in this sense.

achat écologique : Le terme «achat» ne représente en fait qu'une partie du processus d'approvisionnement. Il n'est donc pas toujours interchangeable avec le terme «approvisionnement», bien qu'il soit souvent utilisé dans ce sens.

achat écologique : Bien que plusieurs auteurs utilisent le terme «achats» comme synonyme d'«approvisionnement», il serait plus juste d'utiliser le terme «achat» qui désigne l'action d'acheter. «Achats» désigne plutôt un ensemble de biens ou de services.

approvisionnement vert : Bien que le mot «vert» soit parfois utilisé pour rendre l'idée d'«écologique», l'usage d'un terme plus précis, surtout en l'absence d'un contexte, peut être souhaitable afin d'éviter toute confusion entre les différents sens du mot «vert».
