To reduce the UHT [Underused Housing Tax] compliance burden in relation to these Canadian entities, the government is proposing to make "specified Canadian corporations," partners of "specified Canadian partnerships" and trustees of "specified Canadian trusts," "excluded owners" for UHT purposes. As excluded owners, these owners would no longer have UHT reporting obligations.

Afin de réduire le fardeau de conformité de la TLSU [taxe sur les logements sous-utilisés] à l'égard de ces entités canadiennes, le gouvernement propose de faire des «personnes morales canadiennes déterminées», des associés des «sociétés de personnes canadiennes déterminées» et des fiduciaires des «fiducies canadiennes déterminées» des «propriétaires exclus» aux fins de la TLSU. En tant que propriétaires exclus, ces propriétaires ne seraient plus tenus de produire des déclarations de la TLSU.
