Fairness and Accuracy In Reporting (FAIR), founded in 1986, is an American organization that works against and documents what it perceives as bias in the media, censorship, and erroneous reporting. FAIR describes itself on its website as "the national media watch group" and defines its mission as working to "invigorate the First Amendment by advocating for greater diversity in the press and by scrutinizing media practices that marginalize public interest, minority and dissenting viewpoints."

A danger level pertaining to the Canadian Avalanche Danger Scale. When the danger level is considered "moderate," natural avalanches are unlikely and human-triggered avalanches are possible. The Danger Scale recommends to use caution in steeper terrain on certain aspects.

The term "fair" must not be used as a synonym of "moderate." "Fair" is a stability rating pertaining to the Snow Stability Rating System.

A stability rating taken from the Snow Stability Rating System. ... Snowpack stability varies considerably with terrain, often resulting in locally unstable areas. One should expect: isolated natural avalanches on specific terrain features and/or avalanches that may be triggered by light loads in areas with specific terrain features or certain snowpack characteristics. When doing stability tests, the expected results are generally easy to moderate.
