OBS

On some equilibrium diagrams, there are two ferrite regions separated by an austenite area. The lower area is alpha ferrite; the upper, delta ferrite. If there is no designation, alpha ferrite is assumed.

Sur certains diagrammes d'équilibre, il existe deux domaines ferritiques séparés par un domaine austénitique. Le domaine situé à basse température représente la ferrite alpha, celui situé à haute température, la ferrite delta. Si rien n'est spécifié, le terme ferrite désigne la ferrite alpha. La ferrite peut se présenter sous forme massive ou aciculaire selon qu'elle se forme à haute ou à basse température.
