The Fishermen's Assistance Plans is responsible for the insurance of fishing vessels under the Fishing Vessel Insurance Regulations, the inspection of vessels during construction and the processing of progress payments under the Fishing Vessel Assistance Regulations, and advises fishermen of the benefits available under the Fisheries Improvements Loans Act.
