CONT

The fossil level is an immense concentration of skeletons in a layer more than 1 m thick covering an area of several hundred square meters. Only about 10% of the fossiliferous zone was excavated by a Franco-Bulgarian team in a systematic way using a 1-m grid, during three field seasons (1985-1987).

CONT
