[A method] used in measurement of overall sound levels to take account of the frequency-dependent loudness characteristics of ears at different sound levels.

OBS

A-weighted measurements attenuate sounds below about 1000 Hz (low sound levels), B-weighting rolls off frequencies below about 200 Hz (middle sound levels), and C-weighting rolls off below about 50 Hz (high sound levels).

Procédé utilisé pour les mesures de niveaux acoustiques globaux, qui permet de prendre en compte les caractéristiques de bruit, variables suivant la fréquence, les oreilles et ceci à différents niveaux acoustiques.

OBS

Les mesures de pondération A atténuent les sons en dessous de 1 000 Hz (niveaux acoustiques bas), les pondérations B se situent à des fréquences inférieures à 200 Hz (niveaux acoustiques intermédiaires) et les pondérations C sont à des fréquences inférieures à 50 Hz (niveaux acoustiques élevés).
