There are more than 20 radioactive isotopes of iodine. Some very important radioisotopes are found in industry and medicine. I-131 is the dominant radioisotope contributing to internal exposure after a reactor accident, nuclear weapons test or any incident involving fresh fission products. However, short-lived radioisotopes I-132, I-133, I-134, I-135 with half-lives from 52 minutes to 6.7 hours can contribute significantly if the person is in close proximity to a fresh fission product release. 1, record 1, English, - fresh%20fission%20product

3, record 1, French, - produit%20de%20fission%20frais
