GARDENER [3 records]

Record 1 2022-08-26

English

Subject field(s)
  • Occupation Names (General)
  • Plant and Crop Production
  • Horticulture
DEF

A person employed to tend, cultivate, or lay out a garden.

CONT

Gardeners with experience should cope with all the tasks needed to keep a garden under control – including weeding, grass cutting, strimming, pruning, planting, mulching, feeding, spraying and lawn care – and know when to do them. A top-notch gardener will be able to help you plan your garden, suggest and source plants and even mentor you, if you want to learn more. You shouldn't expect a gardener to do the jobs that a landscaper would do, such as lay a patio, build a wall or put up a garden building.

Record 3 2017-05-12

English

Subject field(s)
  • Baseball and Softball
DEF

Any of the three defensive players in the outfield, the "left fielder", the "centre fielder", and the "right fielder".

OBS

The outfielders must be fast, with good judgment, a sharp eye for catching fly balls, and a good arm for making long throws.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Baseball et softball
DEF
