[A] type of bariatric surgery [that] involves closing off parts of the stomach to make it smaller, thus decreasing the amount of food that can be eaten. 6, record 1, English, - restrictive%20surgery
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Restrictive surgery uses bands or staples to create food intake restriction. The bands or staples are surgically placed near the top of the stomach to section off a small portion that is often called a stomach pouch. A small outlet, about the size of a pencil eraser, is left at the bottom of the stomach pouch. Since the outlet is small, food stays in the pouch longer and you also feel full for a longer time. 7, record 1, English, - restrictive%20surgery

Record 1, Textual support, French
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 DEF
5, record 1, French, - chirurgie%20restrictive
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
6, record 1, French, - chirurgie%20restrictive
