GENERAL ACID CATALYSIS [1 record]

Record 1 2011-02-11

English

Subject field(s)
  • Chemical Engineering
DEF

The catalysis of a chemical reaction by a series of Brönsted acids (which may include the solvated hydrogen ion) so that the rate of the catalyzed part of the reaction is given by [sigma] kHA[HA] multiplied by some function of substrate concentrations. (The acids HA are unchanged by the overall reaction.)

OBS

The word "sigma" must be replaced by the corresponding Greek letter.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Génie chimique
DEF
