Spectromètre GOMOS (Global Ozone Monitoring by Occultation of Stars). Cet ensemble de deux caméras spectrométriques en ultraviolet et proche infrarouge réalise des profils de la haute atmosphère en observant l'occultation par celle-ci des étoiles qui «se couchent» lorsque le satellite progresse sur son orbite. Il permet la mesure des concentrations en ozone et autres gaz rares. (ESA, réalisé par Astrium à Toulouse).
