Le ski évolutif est né à Courchevel en 1966. Il permet au débutant d'apprendre à skier sur des skis courts et sans l'utilisation de bâtons; en une semaine, en augmentant progressivement la longueur des skis, les plus habiles en viennent au virage parallèle et à la godille. Cette méthode a révolutionné le miniski devenu le point de départ de l'apprentissage du ski.
