The Great Plains low-level jet (GPLLJ), a fast-moving southerly airstream in the lower troposphere, is one of the most important atmospheric circulation features influencing the central U.S. Roughly one-third of the moisture entering this region is transported from the Gulf of Mexico by the GPLLJ, and convergence downstream of the jet promotes the formation of thunderstorms and convective precipitation. 2, record 1, English, - Great%20Plains%20low%2Dlevel%20jet

1, record 1, French, - courant%2Djet%20%C3%A0%20basse%20altitude%20dans%20les%20Grandes%20Plaines
