CONT

Heavy Water Management. Heavy water is very expensive to produce and when it is used in a reactor it becomes radioactive largely due to the production of tritium. It is therefore critical that heavy water is managed in such a way as to: - minimize permanent losses, - reduce our environmental emissions, and - minimize the chronic hazard to personnel.

CONT
