In April 1993, the HELP Fund (Help Energize Local Projects) was reintroduced by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. The purpose of the fund is to provide financial support for apprenticeships and workplace accommodation for employment equity designated group members. Through these apprenticeships, the trainees gain the experience to enable them to compete successfully as job vacancies arise within the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
