Hommage bénévolat-Québec awards are a recognition of the fundamental value of volunteerism. They are given by the Government of Québec to pay tribute to the exceptional commitment and valuable contribution of volunteers and community organizations throughout Québec. The purpose is to reward the efforts of citizens in their communities and the actions by organizations to foster and develop volunteerism. The Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity has tasked the Secrétariat à l'action communautaire autonome du Québec with organizing the awards.

Le prix Hommage bénévolat-Québec est un geste de reconnaissance qui souligne la valeur fondamentale de l'action bénévole. Il est remis par le gouvernement du Québec pour souligner l'engagement exceptionnel et la précieuse contribution de bénévoles et d'organismes communautaires de toutes les régions du Québec. Il vise à récompenser les efforts déployés par des citoyennes et des citoyens dans leur communauté ainsi que les actions accomplies par des organismes pour promouvoir et étendre l'engagement bénévole. La ministre de l Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale, ministre responsable de l'action bénévole et communautaire du gouvernement du Québec a confié l'organisation du prix au Secrétariat à l'action communautaire autonome du Québec.
