The most common pulping system for linerboard utilizes two complete kraft production lines for bottom and top liner stocks, respectively ... The base sheet pulp, cooked to 55 - 60% yield, is fiberized and refined out of the blow tank ("hot-stock refined"), washed, and given an additional refining step (called "de-shive refining") before delivery to the paper machine storage chest.
