This symposium was held August 18, 2001, at the Glendon College, and was jointly organized by the Canadian Advisory Committee of ISO/TC 37 (International Organization for Standardization, Technical Committee on Terminology) and the School of Translation of Glendon College, York University, with the support of the Ontario Government Translation Service and the Terminology and Standardization Directorate of the federal government's Translation Bureau. Ce colloque, qui a eu lieu le 18 août 2001 au Collège universitaire Glendon, s'est tenu sous les auspices du Comité consultatif canadien du Comité technique de terminologie de l'Organisation internationale de normalisation (ISO/TC 37) et de l'École de traduction du Collège universitaire Glendon, Université York. Le Service de traduction du gouvernement de l'Ontario ainsi que la Direction de la terminologie et de la normalisation du Bureau de la traduction du gouvernement fédéral participaient aussi à l'organisation du colloque.
