The "INCI" name refers to the common nomenclature for ingredient labelling on the packaging of cosmetic products. The abbreviation "INCI" stands for International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient. An INCI name may cover several chemical entities. For cosmetic colorants, the Colour Index, (CI) number has to be used for ingredient labelling.
