OBS

El caso más trascendente de declaración de inconvertibilidad tras la Segunda Guerra Mundial fue la realizada por el presidente Nixon en 1971, respecto al dólar, ante la evidencia de que las disponibilidades norteamericanas de oro en el Fuerte Knox no eran ya suficientes como para seguir manteniendo la ficción de la convertibilidad.
