In consultation and cooperation with First Nations, Inuit and Métis, Justice Canada is developing an Indigenous Justice Strategy to address systemic discrimination and the over-representation of Indigenous people in the justice system. Given the shared responsibility for Canada's justice system, this work is also being done in close collaboration with provinces and territories.
