English

Subject field(s)
  • Petroleum Technology - Safety
  • Oil Drilling
CONT

Blow out preventer (BOP). This is essentially a series of valves which are designed to close around the drill-string in the well-hole. Its purpose is to contain the well bore pressure at any time ... It allows circulation of influxing liquids out of the well-hole in a controlled manner.

OBS

influxing liquids: term rarely used in the singular (influxing liquid).

Key term(s)
  • influxing liquid

French

Domaine(s)
  • Sécurité (Technologie pétrolière)
  • Forage des puits de pétrole
OBS

Key term(s)
  • venue de liquides
  • venue de liquide
  • fluide qui afflue
