A technique related to infra-red photography is infra-red reflectography, in which a television camera adapted to receive infra-red radiations is connected to a television monitor. La réflectographie à l'infrarouge se fait au moyen d'une caméra-récepteur munie d'un émetteur de lumière à l'infrarouge; l'enregistrement de l'image est stocké sur support [numérique]. On appelle réflectogramme le document obtenu par ce procédé. L'analyse fonctionne par juxtaposition de zones, en raison du champ restreint de la caméra; il existe aujourd'hui des logiciels permettant d'unifier les réflectogrammes.
