English

Subject field(s)
  • Skydiving, Paragliding and Hang Gliding
CONT

... if this speed of the wind is more than the inherent forward speed of the canopy you can expect to be moving backwards for the (parachute) descent ...

CONT

Flight characteristics of a canopy come from its proper forward speed and the vertical speed. Both speeds are generated by the user's weight, which can be regarded as the engine.

OBS

An uncontrolled involuntary movement.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Parachutisme, parapente et deltaplane
DEF

OBS

Il s'agit d'un déplacement involontaire.
