Le moule est constitué de deux plaques (plaque d'injection et d'éjection), chacune contenant la demie empreinte de la pièce à obtenir. Une plaque est fixée à l'unité de plastification, l'autre est mobile pour le démoulage de la pièce, se manœuvrant grâce à un ensemble volant vis et écrou. Ce dernier assure la fermeture et l'ouverture du moule ainsi que l'éjection de la pièce en fin de course d'ouverture grâce à la batterie d'éjection.
