The Institute of Health Promotion Research works under different pillars of research, perhaps most readily defined as the five pillars of research outlined by the Canada Institutes of Health Research: the community, the workplace, schools, the clinical setting, and international settings. IHPR is unique in BC in terms of the breadth and magnitude of its research and teaching efforts in the area of health promotion and health.
