An independent officer of the Legislative Assembly, the Integrity Commissioner advises Members on ethical performance of their official duties and administers a system of standards and accountability under the Integrity Act. In addition, as an alternative to prosecution under the Nunavut Elections Act, a compliance agreement may be entered into with the Integrity Commissioner by a person alleged to have committed an offence under that Act.
