The name of this organisation shall be the Fédération Dentaire Internationale hereinafter referred to as the "FDI". The corporate image of the organisation shall be the "FDI World Dental Federation". The FDI is an international organisation, established in France as an Association according to the law of 1901. The objectives of the FDI shall be: to be the authoritative, professional, independent worldwide voice of dentistry; to promote optimal oral and genreal health for all peoples; to promote the interests of its Members and to advance and promote the art, science and practice of dentistry. In force from September 2004.
