The signal-averaged ECG is a noninvasive technique that records, amplifies, and filters the surface ECG and detects low-amplitude, high-frequency signals (late potentials) at the terminal portion of the QRS complex. These late potentials represent delayed myocardial activation in areas of scar tissue and may serve as the electrophysiologic substrate for ventricular arrhythmias. 1, record 1, English, - late%20potential
