A malignant tumor of smooth-muscle cells, which in its well-differentiated forms, closely simulates leiomyoma.

OBS

The most important distinguishing feature is the presence of mitotic features. It may occur at a number of body sites such as the uterus and the stomach.

OBS

Quand les cellules tumorales sont atypiques, le diagnostic de malignité ne fait pas de doute. Quand elles font preuve d'un haut degré de différenciation, elle peuvent ressembler à celles d'un léiomyome. Les signes histologiques de malignité se résument d'une part à des irrégularités nucléaires, avec hyperchromasie et mitoses anormales, d'autre part, à un manque de fasciculation architecturale.
