The Lower Torso consists of the pants, boots, joints for the ankles, knees, and hips, and a metal body-seal closure that connects the Lower Torso to the HUT [Hand Upper Torso]. It also features a waist bearing which allows the astronauts to twist from side to side if they're locked into foot restraints while working in space.

La partie inférieure du scaphandre (aussi appelée torse inférieur) est relevée jusqu'en haut. Le «torse inférieur» [ensemble pantalon] est composé de pantalons, de bottes, d'articulations pour les chevilles, les genoux et les hanches, et d'une fermeture métallique étanche qui relie le «torse inférieur» au «torse supérieur rigide» [gilet monocoque] ou HUT. Il comprend aussi un roulement à la taille pour permettre la torsion du torse de l'astronaute lorsque ses pieds sont fixés dans les cale-pieds pendant l'EVA [Extravehicular Activity].
