Mackenzie Gas Project proposes to develop natural gas fields in the Mackenzie Delta of Canada's Northwest Territories and deliver the natural gas and natural gas liquids to markets in Canada and the United States. The Project consists of five major parts: • three natural gas field production facilities • a gathering pipeline system • a gas processing facility near Inuvik (the Inuvik area facility) • a natural gas liquids pipeline from the Inuvik area facility to Norman Wells • a natural gas pipeline from the Inuvik area facility to northwestern Alberta.

Le projet gazier Mackenzie (PGM) est un projet sans précédent dans l'histoire du Nord, que ce soit en raison de sa taille, de sa portée ou des possibilités qu'il présente pour les résidants du Nord et toute la population canadienne. Le PGM consisterait en la construction d'installations et l'exploitation de trois champs de gaz naturel dans le delta du Mackenzie, situé dans les Territoires du Nord Ouest; l'établissement d'un réseau collecteur de gaz naturel et de liquides de gaz naturel; la construction d'installations de traitement près d'Inuvik; et l'aménagement de pipelines qui transporteront le gaz naturel et les liquides de gaz naturel vers le sud, le long de la vallée du Mackenzie.
