[La mesure par la méthode de déphasage est une méthode de mesure de la résistivité électrique en laboratoire.] On fait ici l'usage du déphasage entre le courant résultant I(r) et le courant de conduction I(c) dans un circuit. Un condensateur à l'air C(o) est connecté en série avec le spécimen de roche de capacitance C(s) et le tout est alimenté par une source de haute fréquence. Le voltage entre le spécimen de roche et le condensateur à l'air sont comparés sur un oscilloscope. L'angle o entre I(r) et I(c) s'appelle de déphasage.
