CONT

La médiastinoscopie par voie cervicale sus-sternale. Décrite par Carlens en 1957. L'incision est cervicale, elle aborde la trachée qui est disséquée sur sa face antérieure en refoulant les gros vaisseaux en avant. Le médiastinoscope est introduit jusqu'à la bifurcation trachéale. La médiastinoscopie permet le diagnostic des tumeurs thymiques, les prélèvements des ganglions péri-trachéaux, inter-trachéo-bronchiques.
