Méthode de filage d'un polymère ramolli par fusion en le passant au travers d'une filière et en le coagulant par un courant d'air froid.

OBS

[Le] filage par fusion est utilisé pour la majorité des polymères thermoplastiques qui sont fondus à une température supérieure au point de fusion puis injectés dans la filière sous pression; la solidification est assurée par refroidissement à l'air et donne naissance aux filaments. Polyamide, polyester, oléfine et verre nécessitent ce procédé de fabrication.
