A measure of reactivity. Reactivity is equal to the fraction by which the multiplication factor (k) departs from unity.

CONT

A supercritical reactor may have a reactivity of 1.006, expressed as 6 milli-k. Similarly, a subcritical reactor with a reactivity of 0.998 would be expressed as - 2 milli-k.
